What are Hostednode's billing cycles?

Learn about Hostednode's billing cycles

The billing cycle reference day

Hostednode billing cycles use the 1st of each month as their reference day. To align your initial signup with that cycle, a proportional charge, also called a pro-rata charge, is applied.

The pro-rata charge covers the partial period between your signup date and the start of the following month. The initial charge depends on whether you sign up before the 25th or on or after that day.

If you sign up before the 25th

If you sign up between the 1st and the 24th, you are charged the proportional amount for the period from signup until the 1st of the following month.

For example, if you sign up on April 10, the initial charge covers the proportional period until May 1.

If you sign up on or after the 25th

If you sign up on the 25th or later, before the following month begins, the initial charge includes the prorated days of the current month plus the entire following month.

For example, if you sign up on April 27, the initial charge includes the remaining prorated period of April and the full month of May.

How to request a different reference day

You can request that the pro-rata charge be adjusted to a different day of the month. To do so, open a sales support ticket and request a review of the change. The request is subject to review; approval is not automatic.
